The interdisciplinary health informatics programs will begin offering a graduate certificate in clinical health informatics beginning this fall. This three-semester program, which is primarily online, is designed for current healthcare professionals and Georgia State graduate students in clinical programs.

Health informatics is the interdisciplinary study of the design, development, and adoption of IT-based innovations in health care services, delivery, management, and planning. Health informatics is a rapidly growing field, and Georgia has become a leader in this industry with more than 200 employer organizations statewide.

Georgia State’s health informatics program, both undergraduate degree, and the new graduate certificate are taught in collaboration with Lewis School and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
